The HDPOCKETDOORS 3500-HDPD 200/CS Series is a robust heavy-duty pocket door frame kit designed for standard 2x4 walls. Here are the key features:
CS Box Beam with Track Enhancements: Comes with a standard clear anodized track, with an option to upgrade to a sleek black anodized finish, complemented by a blackout header assembly.
Quick Connect Ball Bearing Hardware: Supports solid core doors weighing up to 200 lbs. for reliable operation.
Universal T Floor Guide: Ensures smooth and consistent door movement.
Durable LVL Header: Stays straight and flat, fully assembled with a top bracket for straightforward installation.
16 Gauge Steel Posts: Measuring ¾" x 1-½", these provide exceptional strength and stability.
This frame kit is engineered for quick and efficient installation, making it an excellent choice for both renovations and new constructions. For optimal performance, it’s recommended to use a solid core door with a maximum thickness of 1-3/8" to ensure proper clearance within the pocket. If you need to accommodate 1-3/4" thick doors, consider the 4000 or 5500 series kits.
We started using these for most of our pocket door installations about a year ago and they are worth the price. Installation costs have been reduced and the quality of the product is exactly what we expect.
