HDPOCKETDOORS® 5500-HDPD FD/120 Series

The HDPOCKETDOORS® 5500-HDPD FD/120 Series is a heavy-duty pocket door frame system designed specifically for standard 2×6 wall construction. It combines the strength and stability of the HDPOCKETDOORS tubular steel frame with Sugatsune FD120 soft-open/soft-close track and hardware for smooth, controlled operation.

SUGATSUNE FD120 TRACK + HARDWARE
Premium soft-open/soft-close hardware supports solid-core doors up to 264 lbs. The track and hardware are factory-configured and mounted to the engineered LVL header before shipment.

EFFORTLESS OPERATION
Designed for smooth, controlled movement with less than 5 lbf. (22 N) of operating force, helping support ADA accessibility requirements and universal-design goals. Soft-open/soft-close control provides gentle, controlled operation in both directions.

DOOR COMPATIBILITY
Designed for solid-core doors up to 1-3/4 in. thick.

HEAVY-DUTY STEEL FRAME
Standard 16-gauge, 1-1/2 × 1-1/2 in. tubular steel posts provide strength and rigidity inside the pocket, helping reduce movement and flex.

ENGINEERED LVL HEADER
The engineered LVL header is designed to remain straight and flat and arrives preassembled with the FD120 track, hardware and top mounting bracket.

UNIVERSAL T-FLOOR GUIDE
Provides positive guidance at the bottom of the door for smooth, consistent travel through the opening and into the pocket.

SIMPLIFIED INSTALLATION
The frame, track and hardware are factory-configured as a complete system. The steel posts and bottom brackets are designed to assemble quickly in the field, helping reduce modifications and installation time.
